In reading part one of secret one, the main idea of the selection is, "The very first thing you will want to do, when you sit down to plan your lesson, is to center the entire plan around your objective" (pg. 2) Without knowing your objective, there is no way you can plan a good lesson.
Another section I found good is the Tips for Planning, located on pg. 4. This is good to have, no matter how seasoned an educator you are.
I am interested in reading more of the "Seven Simple Secrets: What The Best Teachers Know and Do."
By the way, I like this method of professional development!!
